Mahalia, Alan Potter and Madame Squeeze as well as a Jazz trio were playing for AYCM already.

What is your name?
Dillon Wyte – I changed it anyway from what it was.
How old are you?
20.
How many instruments do you play?
Let’s see. I do piano, drums, base, harmonica, various other things in between, flutes and – whatever.
Why do you play in Newtown?
Ah, you know, it’s the better area to do it. Today I thought: Why not play.
How often?
Whenever there is anything around to play on, I play. I play in music shops, I do the street. Pretty much every day, when I feel like it.
What do you like most about Newtown?
I don’t know Newtown very well, just arrived a couple of days ago. But it sometimes reminds me of Wellington, New Zealand. That is were I lived for five years. And I loved it.
What do you hate about the Suburb?
Mmmh, maybe the traffic. It is a bit nuts.
I thot he was an amazing musician and singer. I would like to hear more from him. do I have to go to Newtown?

He is American, though, spent a couple of years in New Zealand recently… – Well, he might be anywhere at the moment. But there is so many awesome musicians in Newtown. Check ‘em out!
